Love Goes On

well it's been more than a year and a half since Grant McLennan died, and it still saddens of course, thinking about it. i recorded a song ("Bye Bye Pride" with Annie Hayden singing as well) for the Grant tribute album Love Goes On, which is out now on Rare Victory and getting some kind reviews. Liners include a funny story from David Kilgour about playing golf with Grant and Robert...i would liked to have joined that foursome! the album was put together by David James and his wife Sherry at Rare Victory Records, they created a page for the album HERE so check it out.

I was hoping, the last time I saw you guys play, that you would play the song with Margaret getting down on the clarinet (or the violin).

Looks like a prety interesting line up of artists on the album, Both Luke Haines and The Bats... sounds good to me.

i'm really getting into 16 lovers lane. i heard "streets of your town" in an anthropologie of all places and fell in love with that song.

people ragged on 16 lovers lane for being too slick, but it's my favorite album by them. perhaps by anyone!

I'm surprised that "Clouds" (as well as many other songs on the album) was never turned into a single.

16 Lovers Lane is simply a perfect pop album. One of the best ever.
