The Most Exciting Game in Sports...

...is a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals, and we have one....for the Pens i think Scuderi made as many saves tonight as Fleury, including an amazing sequence at the end with an empty net in the Detroit end and the Wings putting on the pressure. Fleury had his own dramatic saves, stoning Cleary on a breakaway toward the end of the game.

Osgood kept the game as close as it was, and Datsyuk was everywhere at times, but the Pens were on the mission they needed to be on...

Game 7 is going to rule. As Panger pointed out on the post-game, Fleury is great at home, not so great away, and Joe Louis Arena is tough, bouncy boards behind the goals and all. Can he pull it together?

I love listening to Mike Emerick both because he's an amazing announcer, taut and exciting without going over the top, but also because his voice reminds me of watching Game 7 of the '06 Finals on DVR...

thanks for keeping up with the hockey talk, mac. my move from pittsburgh has taken me far from my fellow pens fans. there is no mention of hockey in NH at all - not on the radio, not in bars, not from neighbors, nothing. it's like hockey doesn't exist in this state. luckily, television reception with rabbit ears is also nonexistent, forcing me to shell out for cable. i now have a direct vs iv to my once empty hockey vein.

LET'S GO PENS!

Many competing activities last night: NHL Game 6 , Game 3 of the NBA Finals, X at Cat's Cradle. I chose X (and DVR'd the games). X put on a great show.

i did the same thing (only dvr'd hockey) and yeah X was awesome. a bit of an awkward start i thought (maybe due to the fan-chosen set list?) but once they got going, totally fun.
